ECORE International Acquires CSSI Assets
March 1, 2007 — PlayGuard® Playground Safety Surfacing, manufactured by ECORE International™ is pleased to announce the addition of a 4-1/4” thick tile to its line of rubber playground safety surfacing that when installed beneath play equipment offers a critical fall height requirement of 8 feet per ASTM F1292-04.
Made from 100% recycled tire rubber, PlayGuard 24" x 24" tiles are designed to cushion the impact of a child’s accidental fall and to reduce the severity of an injury on either outdoor or indoor children’s play areas. All PlayGuard tiles, including the new 4-1/4" thick tile, meet accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ASTM F1292-04 standard specification for impact attenuation for falls and guidelines established by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). And, all PlayGuard tiles have achieved third-party product certification from IPEMA.
The new 4-1/4" thick tile is available in all Ultra Carnival and Ultra Safari colors, a total of 15 designs. It also boasts our 3mm patented, premanufactured top wear layer. This unique layer in combination with the design of our time-tested, 24" x 24" tile offers superior shock absorption, long-term durability and easier maintenance. PlayGuard also offers its customers a 48" x 12"x 4-41/4" reducer to accompany the new 4-1/4" thick tile. Custom color and logos are also available.
